Just to know for fun what type of gamer you are, please answer the question above.
I really enjoy some RPGs, and seem to spend most of my gaming time recently playing one particular puzzle game, but my vote has to go for First Person Shooters.
After discovering Wolfenstein3D on my 386, I bought a 486 to play Doom. In time I bought a P200 and a new-fangled “3D accelerator” to play Quake and Quake2, and an Athlon and a £200 graphics card to play Quake3. My laptop was for a while used purely for Unreal Tournament.
I’m in need of a new computer soon, as Doom3 and Half-life 2 are on the way…
BTW, what is a Plateform? ;D
I like 2D multiplayer games best! Things like XPilot or SubSpace. Cannot vote for them.
And racing games! F1 and NASCAR! Is that sports?
But I also enjoy Q3A very much
Funny, but I play and enjoy almost all genres listed…
The prize for the genre I dislike is Sports!!
Also, there is no driving/racing listed there…

I like adventure games… not strategy or role-playing so much though. E.g Myst style.
And then your basic blasting stuff.
And some puzzle games… like Pop Cap’s Rocket Mania.
Best game ever: Civilication
Then Starcraft and Quake 1 and 3.

Damnit that game is messing with my head! :o I keep saying “No more!” and giving up for a day or so, but it always draws me back… That is possibly the most invasive game I’ve ever played (maybe apart from Tetris) in the way that it gets inside your head. And it’s written in Java! ;D

The form of a plate - disk-like, obviously. You could argue that calling them “2D plateform” games is redundant, as all disks are 2D. Does this category include anything that comes on a CD?
My favourites are Civilization I, Dune II and Warcraft III.
I add Monkey Island IV to my list, because this fits in very nicely, but actually all Monkey Island games are pretty good.
I really like shooters (not FPS, shmups), turn based strategy games, platformers, adventure, and music games.
