Just re-discovered an old website I made for a game

Back in 2011 I made a game called Mineblock… (one of my first java games)
I made a website for it: https://web.archive.org/web/20111108040305/http://mineblock.uphero.com/index.php
It was taken down, and I forgot the domain name :stuck_out_tongue:

I forgot how many people signed up for it :open_mouth:

This is just bleeding with intellectual property rights violations hehehe.

Pretty good mockup of Minecraft.net though, and Mojang generally doesnt seem to care about such things unless you try to make money off it.

I hope you were just bored…

I need to know how to build a website, best + cheapest way?

If you know any java, HTML will be a cakewalk.

If you just want a basic website with nothing fancy, you should just learn some HTML and build a site, the buy a domain and get some cheapo hosting (Some plans are like $5/month). If you’re serious about it all, the cost will skyrocket. My server costs about $50-60/month, paid yearly (else it would be $80/month).

For just one website+domain and minimal traffic I’m sure you can get a site running for less than $20 startup… then learn some HTML

To play noob’s advocate, I’ll mention Webs.com

Free (basic) hosting, although there are restrictions, of course, but you can buy more privileges, like full domains, etc, find out more on the website.
Pre-made themes for creating your site as well as drag-n-drop tooling IIRC.
