I’m sitting here watching the JavaOne keynote on the Sun website…
And the video is running in Adobe Flash. Does anyone else see this as ironic?

Ironic, but unsurprising.
That’s like Adobe using a Java player to play a video on their site?
…and this forum is written in PHP.
Ah, the irony. That original thought aside though, I thought the JavaOne keynote did a good job letting us Java developers know that JavaFX will be sticking around.
no need for misplaced feelings, the javaone website uses the same system as all other streaming video stuff used at sun’s website and that system predates javafx. Also if you want to draw ppl to java it’s no use preaching to your own congregation.
That being said a javafx alternative would be wonderful as flash is horribly slow here.
Yah, but in Sun’s case their smart. If Adobe did that, I’d wonder if they lost their minds. ;D
I’ve never seen video play java, ever.
I say, go with that works, not with what’s cool.
