Have you ever played Warhammer? Sounds exactly like that saying would come from a Warhammer codec 
From playing the old Warhammer 40K Dawn of War, I remember that one of the things the Space Marines used to say was “Walk softly and carry a big gun,” but I’ve never heard that orc version.
That Ork proverb was from the 1st edition WH40K rules.
