Julia's Christmas Adventure

I’ve made a simple arcade game purely in Java (without any 3rd-party libraries). Images are painted with gouache. JDK version 8 and an analogue of Notepad (Akelpad) were used
Plot:
Julia is sitting at home and thinking about Willy, who works at the North Pole and has to stay here, and isn’t able to visit the girl at Christmas. She decides to go to the office of Santa’s employees and ask Santa for help getting to Willy quickly.

I think there is wayyy to much white in the background.

Long time ago I was thinking about game platform, where children from pre-school could make levels. Platform could publish it to the workshop where players can download it and play. Release on Steam and mobile. Income from game selling would be given to some charitable. This one reminds me this concept

For java IDE I suggest using Intellij community edition (my fav) or eclipse  Helps a lot. Much more comfortable

It was blue, but the scanner produced incorrect game balance in picture :frowning:

ByerN, thanks for the comment! Concerning IDE topic, I would say that I like oldschool Notepad approach. Don’t like IDE’s, it usually loads a computer heavily, if hardware is quite retro.

Maybe just put some blue pixels in the background. Just a few? I dunno, look at how many questions I ask on this site lol

I’ve noticed that editing painted picture in Photoshop doesn’t affect nice (including changing color balance). By the way, images of the girl and snowmen were compiled of separately drawed body and arms. Next time I would prefer draw all animation images entirely.
