Yeah, you missed the all-important “if I had a game that supported it…” 

Jinput currently does on windows and linux 
currently 2/7 still use them, so at this point it looks like we still need them.
At least I’ve managed to pin my bug down enough to be able to still support them if we need too

Out of 4 gamepads which are lying around here 2 use the midi (game) port. But only one of em is used regularly.
On windows you dont need any specific code, do you?

Nope, windows is just all directx, no idea how the mac does it, or if it even has 15 pin joystick support. It’s linux that is the question. But it’s a question I’ve been pondering some time anyway

When in '99 I changed to Windows 98, I stoped using the MIDI input.
Now I have 3 pads (all USB) and a racing wheel (USB too).
