JOGL/TestRender/Platform Issue?

I am trying to run the Test and TestRender examples on a
P4 1.5Ghz 512KB RAM Windows 2000 SP4
nVidia QuadroPro2 64MB NV15 DirectX 7
at 1152 x 864 True Color(32 bit) mode

This is what I get. I am using JOGL 1.1.10.

What version of NVidia’s drivers do you have? Do any of the JOGL demos (like the Gears demo) work? Have you specified the command line option -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true, which is required for correct operation of JOGL on Windows?

I tried the following with same results:
java -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true Test

nVidia Display Driver : 6.13.10.4072
NV15 Chip Rev A0

The demos require 1.4.2 for WebStart. I tried :

java -jar jogl-demos.jar.
Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from

I haven’t migrated off of 1.4.1 yet. I should, I’m just lazy. :slight_smile:

I’ll try all this on my XP machine this weekend.

Your display drivers are really, really old. You should upgrade them as well as your JDK to the most recent 1.4.2 release. This will probably fix the problems you’re seeing.

I tried LWJGL(GearsDemoBox) without problems. Seems really old hardware is supported.
