Nameservers are changed. Will take between 2 hours and 48 hours to complete…THEN, I have the ability to change the DNS.
EDIT: Forwarding has been initiated. Should take place within the hour.
My webserver has been setup to handle incoming traffic from the old/new domain. Hopefully it will work right away 
If not, feel free to publically blame me [you].
It should, it will be doing masked forwarding from the domain to java-gaming.org This way, both new and old links stay in tact until you move them all over, if that is what we decide, to javagaming.org (one word, no hyphen).

Do you mean you’re going to run a webserver which will do a http level redirect? If so, why not point the dns to my webserver’s ip address right away? That way it will also simply serve the same content for both domains, without the additional redirect. But maybe I’m misinterpreting ‘masked forwarding’ …
I vote for switching to javagaming.org AND publicly blaming Riven if something goes wrong. Thanks for working to get the domain name stuff figured out Chris 
EDIT: Apparently masked forwarding allows you to redirect the domain name to another site but conceal the web address of the other site. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/domains/domainfeatures/forwarding/forwarding-07.html
I will, but the nameserver transfer takes time. After it is logged in my ISP’s database and it has propagated, I will be able to point to your ip address. The forwarding is just a temporary fix until this happens

I get a GoDaddy “Is this your domain?” page.
Its where I have the domain parked. It can take up to 48 hours for non .com/.net TLDs to propagate.

Why does it take so long? Isn’t it just a change of DNS records?
It might indeed take 48 hours, but I never saw it actually take that long :-\
Running nslookup at the DNS server that hosts the DNS records, will show the configured records immediately.
What’s the new DNS server Chris?
Can you give us a heads up on why it doesn’t (seem to) work?

Zone file needed to be recreated and I am now pointing at the java-gaming.org IP address. Should take about an hour to propagate. Was an issue on the registrar side, but seems to be fixed now. Fingers crossed!

Woot! Confirmed, it works. Great job Chris If you go to javagaming.org it loads the front page, then when you click a link it takes you there on java-gaming.org
