Java3D VRML and Morphing

I have got a really serious problem with a piece of work I am on at the minute, and was wondering if anyone could help?
Here goes:

I have successfully loaded 2 vrml files into a java3d environment, and my next step is to try and morph from the image on the left to the image on the right in the environment.
The problem is the morphing class. I thought I was unable to morph myself, so I loaded the example given with Jav3D (where the hand waves) and even when I try running that it comes up as a blank screen!!

So what I am asking is if anyone has got that morphing example running, without a blank screen, and if so how did they?!
Secondly can anyone provide any pointers on morphing vrml files?

Any help would be really appreciated!!
