java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/logging/LogFactory

Switching to Xith3D 0.7 now gives me the following error:

        java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/logging/LogFactory
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.CanvasPeerImpl.<clinit>(CanvasPeerImpl.java:97)
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.RenderPeerImpl.makeCanvas(RenderPeerImpl.java:145)
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.RenderPeerImpl.makeCanvas(RenderPeerImpl.java:126)
        at com.xith3d.render.jogl.RenderPeerImpl.makeCanvas(RenderPeerImpl.java:111)
        at dvdcase.DVDApplet.init(DVDApplet.java:76)
        at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(AppletPanel.java:417)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:626)

at the following line in my application:

CanvasPeer cp = rp.makeCanvas(panel, 450, 500, 32, false);

I’m not familiar with the class. Any ideas?

Have you included the commons-logging.jar in thirdparty/misc ?

No, I haven’t. Haven’t in the past either, so I guess something was changed in 0.7

Works fine now, thanks alot
Now I can get back to not getting any closer to running it with JOGLAppletLauncher

that’s correct. Sorry about that - but using apache commons is worth it

Will.

That’s right.

I think we should include RELEASE-NOTES.TXT with each xith release (e.g. 0.7.1) telling the users what to do when updating, what changed, etc…
