java-gaming.org android app? open source project??

You must have missed the RSS icon in the header.

Hehe I had this same idea a long time ago when I was thinking of using JGO on my phone. Then I noticed how well it rendered and worked in my phone’s browser and the idea quickly trashed itself

Well, apart from the text editor - that is painful! Cursor jumps around all over the place.

I only had that in MSIE. It’s some SMF event handler screwing up.

Actually should clarify that. It doesn’t jump around while typing, but if you want to reposition the cursor it very rarely ends up where you point, and usually somewhere quite random. This may annoy me more than most because my thoughts are distinctly non-linear! ;D

Android 4.1.

Even phones which haven`t got Android may view this site. Just get Opera Mini. It saves a lot of memory. ;D

No screw Opera Mini. Maxthon FTW!

yeah true, but its just a textarea - not much you could do to fix it I guess

Not really. Only noticed it on here. It’s an interaction between the scripts and Android auto wrap I think, as turning either off fixes the issue. Of course, that makes browsing everywhere else painful!

Scripts on a text-area?! What the hell SMF…

My “else” doesnt include JGO. I see that rss icon everyday.

It’s the other side of the cycle where we make all applications using a conglomeration of shitty technologies so they run in a browser.

For whatever reason, this exact suggestion has been made by novice developers on pretty much every Java forum I’m a part of.

You might want to check out some of those, maybe talk to the people suggesting similar projects. You could get an open source thing going with them. Check out these threads.

Also, there are existing programs that do similar things to what you’re describing:
Tapatalk
Tapatalk for Chrome

DO you guys think riven would consider integrating this site with tapatalk?

Honestly I think it’s fine as it is. The forum is free so I tend not to complain.
