Java Applet Identikit

hi guys,

I’m a 4th year student in college and for my project im doing an online date/rate site. Now to make it up to the quality needed im under pressure to include an identikit. I’ve been searching over the web and cannot find much information. Would be grateful if anyone can be of assistance. I t basically needs to be able to create a face from a selection of diff items such as eyes,noses,ears,chins etc to produce a face for those people who might not have a photo to post. Nice idea but would a java applet be the best way to go or how would i do it?

Yes, either a Java applet or a Flash animation are the usual ways to do that. Here’s a couple of examples:

I doubt there are any applications already existing to do exactly what you’re after, so unless you have Java or Flash experience you’ll need to get yourself a friendly programmer to realise it.

I think you’ll find that most programmers are quite friendly if you have money. :wink:

If you don’t have money, then may I suggest teaming up with a fellow student? You may just find that there’s a CompSci major somewhere who needs to find a programming assignment for his schoolwork.
