Is this based on any solid information? or are you just guessing?
There will be no full screen support for platforms other than windows in 1.5.
I assume you aren’t speaking on behalf of the Apple JRE.

in my eyes linux is something for freaks, sorry, but this is my personal thought. 99.9% of our users are windows user, so why bother about the 0.1% rest. In the real world u have to run a company and earn money, no time for some lost souls.
In the real world, I might have been running my graphics server software on a custom tailored Linux machine instead of a Windows machine.

There will be no fullscreen exclusive support on non-Windows platforms? This is disappointing. It’s one of the things users have requested for a long time.

And it makes the fullscreen feature continue to look like a hack; a blatant breaking of WORA which Java otherwise does so well.
Not that I’m complaining, just observing. I’m looking forward to (hopefully) finding some improvements in the 1.5. linux J2D stuff where I’ve had some apps that were abominably slow.
