Just out of curiousity, does anyone know where IntelliJ got the widgets they used for IDEA? They’re really nice: responsive, flexible and attractive.
I guess they are proprietary? I can’t find any info on their site and Google’s turning up nothing.

If you mean the icons they use for their IDE, as well as the dialogs, they are proprietary. IntelliJ uses staff artists to create the interface, and IMHO they do a DAMN fine job, even when they make mistakes. At the very least they have been very understanding and willing to make changes, sometimes drastic, to a dialog or screen that isn’t working for their users.

Yeah skin look and feel is cool, I’ve used it in the past. I was refering to the gui toolkit/system they’re using, ie it doesn’t appear to be Swing or SWT or whatever.
I think basically it is Swing - thus a little bit tailored
Its all Swing with some custom decorations underneath.
