For those of you who run Linux IBM has their 1.4.0 JDK out. I’m not sure how long it’s been out, I just found it today. In the little 3d applet I benchmarked with I found IBM’s JVM to sustain about 24 fps while Sun’s JVM was sustaining 19 fps. YMMV
