I don't have the lollipop update yet?

Sorry for asking something extremely off topic… Yahoo Answers is being a $&@! head and now requires stuff like email and phone number (stuff I don’t want to give) for an account which im only going to use about once or twice… (Is there any better choice for questions? Maybe a general forum for everything or something?)

But I have a Google Nexus 5 red (ordered online from Google Play) and I have been waiting and waiting for the new lollipop update to come to my phone but every afternoon I check in the settings and apparently my system is up to date… I have checked articles on the Internet and they say it will be coming in the following weeks… These articles started long ago…

Also, someone at IT in my school has the Nexus 5 yet he said that it just notified him about the new update and he just updated it… Why don’t I have that notification?

Is there something wrong? Am I supposed to be doing something? Has anybody else got this problem? Can someone plz help… I really want this update…

Thx in advance…

All is fine. Google usually splits the updates in 3 waves. If you are unlucky, you are in last one. I’ve one Nexus 4 and two Nexus 7 and while the former has 5.0 already, both tablets are still waiting for it…

I’ve Moto G first generation (XT1033) and my friend has second generation. He got Lollipop yesterday, but I’m still waiting for it. Motorola is slowly updating it’s apps with material design, so I think it’s the same with Google. It may take another week or so in my opinion.

Thx for the help… I’ll be patient and wait…
Although, does anybody know anything that is better than Yahoo Answers? (Which is probably everything when it comes to the silly questions and the sillier answers)

Maybe something forum like with a large community?

Thx in advance…

Or you can do it yourself especially since you have a Nexus 5:

I thought about it but for some reason I just feel safer waiting for it to come to me… Don’t know why… I think I’m treating it like an animal (let it come to you first)

We have a number of nexus 7s in the house and none have received updates yet. Personally not in too much of a hurry.
