Homunculus - my first game

Homunculus is a falling-block action puzzle game based on the games I played as a kid. It is also my first game used to learn libGDX. Let me know what you think!

Android version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamiltron.homunculus

Windows version: http://www.doomcrow.com/games/homunculus/windows/Homunculus.exe

OSX version: http://www.doomcrow.com/games/homunculus/osx/Homunculus.zip

Linux/raw jar: http://www.doomcrow.com/games/homunculus/linux/Homunculus.jar

Gameplay Video?

Just realized windows version is free, fun game!

How do you package it for Mac?

I used the ant bundler utility on osx: http://informagen.com/JarBundler/

In a nutshell - I exported the jar with the required libs along side it. Ran it through proguard to shrink it, then I used the bundler ant script to package the libs along side it. I couldn’t get the .app to work when I packaged the required libs within the jar.

I also used the osx icon utility to create an icon (I probably need to create more for different resolutions).

Let me know if that makes sense!

You made the android version paid, but everything else is free… That makes absolutely no sense.

Not really, seems fine to me. Not many people buy $1 apps on desktop. Get your money, son!

I spent money on art assets and other things so I wanted a means to make some money. I can charge .99 on Android feasibly, but doing so on desktop would not make sense to charge so little.

Also having developed it primarily for PC - a lot of the more tedious parts of development was the transition to Android.

@OP: thanks for the link. Guess I need start to look up on that ant thing.

Old Good Dr.Mario  not bad … i like it! ;D
