Job Description:
The Game Group seeks a Executive Web Producer to manage all websites within the group. The Executive Web Producer manages internal and external web development and editorial resources against a schedule to deliver (a) the budgeted/forecasted P&L for Game Group editorial websites, (b) the functionality requested by event product managers for their event websites.

Responsibilities:
Create and update editorial websites’ operating schedule and P&L. Track performance metrics, forecast financial results, and manage resources and execution against plan.
With event product managers and marketing owners, create event websites’ operating schedule, including needed upgrades.
Track execution against schedule, identify and resolve obstacles, continuously communicate with internal customers, and manage resources against plan.
Identify new web features and technologies that could benefit Game Group websites and manage continuous upgrade process.
Evaluate value, scope development, create schedule and budget, obtain needed approvals, and manage
development.
Establish and continuously improve each editorial website’s strategy, unique value proposition, competitive positioning and core messaging. Reinforces with all internal and external constituencies.
Qualifications:
Rigorously maintained insight into global online market trends and end-user requirements – for example, “Web 2.0” functionality, user-generated content, and multimedia via internet.
Technical mastery as a business user in at least 75% of the following areas: HTML, SOAP/Web Services, SSL, FTP, CSS, XML, AJAX, RSS, PHP, Flash, JavaScript, database-driven websites, and online sales/e-commerce.
Technical familiarity with the following subject areas: application development, open source solutions (OS, software), web servers, content delivery networks, tracking user traffic/statistics, campaign management, ad serving, tagging content, video streaming solutions, search engine optimization, DNS, databases (structure, EDI, SQL), data warehousing/data mining, & content management systems, single-sign-on architecture.
Proven project management skill – specifically, tracking tasks against schedule, effectively predicting time per task, identifying and mitigating potential delays, and removing obstacles to execution.
Proven budget management skill – specifically, tracking revenue and expenses against P&L, effectively forecasting anticipated results, identifying and mitigating potential shortfalls, and removing obstacles to execution.
Experiencing managing external vendors/business partners as well as internal technical resources and non-technical stakeholders to results.
Clear, concise and direct written and verbal communication skills. Proactive outreach to internal and external customers.
High motivation, independence, teamwork, and results orientation.
Knowledge of the videogame industry, specifically videogame technology and development, is desirable.
College graduate.
Expert in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project or equivalent project-management tools; familiarity with Lotus Notes desirable.
Exhibit thought and behavioral leadership within the group.
Proven technical expertise with website development, including proactive investigation of emerging technologies, and fluency with existing technologies sufficient to hold developers accountable for deliverables and solve technical problems.
