Have you ever been Jumped/Beaten up?

I actually seen a Thread of this on another website (Much younger ages), so if it isn’t right (or you just dont wanna answer), just breeze by or lock/delete it.

But here’s my story, ‘Quoted’ from a post I made on moparscape.org about 2 minutes ago.
Again:
Nothing racial is aimed at anyone here, please don’t start any troll feedback posts on me using what was said =D

[quote]Lawl, Yeah…
I’ve been ‘beaten up’ once.
I was down in Everett at the Bus Station, maybe about 9-11PM some black guy came up to me (im now 17, was 15-16 at the time), but he asked me for my shoes!

So I said haha, f**k no you aint gettin my shoes LOL, next thing i know…
I’m walkin down the street north up the hill to catch a different bus (hits there faster), i’m about 1/3 up the hill when…
BAM, POW, KICK.
These black thugs come up from behind me (one of em), just starts wompin on me for like 4 seconds.
Next thing I know, i’m on the ground, i see my shoes…
Like 10ft that way ----> (guy really knocked me out my jordans) (GROWN ass man).
I get up and turn around and BOOM, I got some ghetto ass drunk white girl runnin @ me just swingin, pow, pow, pow!
I got up they took my shoes, I get on the bus, (I can hear them in the back talkin shit)
LOL @ ME, I went up and sat in the front of the bus.
But yeah, I could hear em back their lookin @ me, pointin, “Ah, I got that nigga good huh”, “YUP, right in dah chin”.
I just sat there holdin my jaw sheddin silent tears.

But…
I got off way before my stop (take a breather), at a gas station, this kind little church guy’s waiting at the bus stop, sees me, I tell him what happened, he gives me like 40$, tells me his wife’s on the way, and she’ll give me a ride to where i’m going, than as im getting out of the car they give me a new pair of shoes =D.

AND CHECK THIS SHIT OUT.
They dropped me off at wendy’s in Everett on 128th, ‘Airport road’ so I can meet my Sister Yolanda, so i get in her truck, we’re sittin there infront of wendy’s she goes inside.
I’m out in the car talking to my other sister ‘Zarminah’, than out of no where…
A COP…
Comes knocking on the window.
MY SISTER…
Set me up!.
(I had a warrent)
(Said it was for my own good, but yeah wtf!?!?)

Anyways…
There’s my beatdown story from back when I was a little hoodlum.

So the question I bring to you guys is: Have you ever been beaten/jumped?

What is this I don’t even.

BTW, wrong board. Try this in Game Mechanics (or on /b/) with “Real life physics” somewhere in the thread title for help on implementing this.

Misc is that way --> http://www.java-gaming.org/boards/miscellaneous-topics/5/view.html

What a crime… wearing jordans.

Thanks, reposted somewhere else ;).
And I had JUST gotten those jordans like 2 days before that :o :o :o :o :o :o.
Everett/Lynnwood/Seattle is suuuuper ghettto.
Lynnwoods ran by mexicans, ages 13-30+.
Everetts covered with homeless people/children in little street gangs.
And Seattle…
Google :-X

What’s next? What’s your favorite color?

I have to confess I rather enjoy a bit of tickling.

I’d say it clearly depends on the tickler.

These days I’m inclined just to beat the crap out of anyone who so much as looks at me funny. I spent years being meek until I noticed one day I was 13 stone and can quite easily kill people with my bare hands. Strangely at the point I realised this people stopped hassling me. Apparently I’m scary.

Cas

I have been beaten once by teenagers in 2006 inside the metro. They began to laugh about me because my shoes were worn. I tried to move away from them, I went to the opposite side of the wagonload but they followed me. I was very close to the cabin of the driver. A woman told them to leave me alone. One of the guys slapped me and they ran away. I lodged a complain but I was not able to recognize them in the existing files. After this guy slapped me, nobody came to help me, the driver went on working. I swear I don’t behave like this. Now I live in Paris and each time someone becomes agressive in the public transports I try to calm down the people. Solidarity should be automatic :frowning: I don’t fear anybody, I dislike being violent. If someone needs some help, I do what I can because this is fair, this is what I have to do as a social human being and as a communist.

Sorry, maybe it is not the most appropriate place to speak about that.

Projection of the mind.

Like inverse matrix multiplication?

Never been beaten up, probably because I don’t drink --> I don’t go to night clubs very often --> not out late at night. Though, now that you mention it I do remember being “protected” by a guy on the train once. This drunk guy that looked foreign but spoke almost perfect Swedish came up to me and asked if he could use my phone on the train, and when I refused he kept asking. Then this guy comes over and starts badmouthing him and pushing him around. He was extremely racist, and said things like protecting a fellow “Swede” from whatever he called the lost guy. I’m a second generation immigrant, though I’ve lived my whole life in Sweden. -_-’

I did work at a night club for about half a year. I always got a ride home though since the trains didn’t run anymore by the time we closed, but I did meet some weird people there. Drugs, theft, drunk people taking a swing at the guards, all that, but I was pretty safe working in the clothes hanger. I’ve managed to stay out of trouble so far at least. And lol at getting beaten up in Japan. Pretty much unthinkable. xD

What’s that in imperial or metric? I’d check Wikipedia but it’s blacked out for some strange reason (I’m so meta).

I’ve been lucky to not get jumped. I live near a shady area in SF / SOMA, so this is definitely always on my mind. If you look at the crime heat maps I’m real close to a big one. It’s odd how a block or two away things are much worse and I walk through that area all the time to a local bar sometimes with my pool sticks. Luckily I’m tall and reasonably fit looking, but the biggest thing is just common sense and having decent awareness when in route. I’m doubly careful walking through said shady area late at night. But seriously any fight would freak me out as well the best course of action is usually to run away. If you can’t run just give up whatever they want. My friends got jumped at knife point in Oakland and they quickly emptied their wallets and were lucky thankfully. I never got into fighting, duh clackity clackity, but always stayed clear due to being reasonably strong. With someone my size some decent damage can be done. I’ve really been meaning to start some martial art; quite likely Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as there is a highly regarded Gracie academy half a block from me. Not that BJJ would help in a street fight all too much with multiple assailants. I’m definitely interested in getting out of “coders head” and get moving around and learn how to control ones body with the appropriate force. Hah. I went to college in San Luis Obispo, CA and that is where Chuck Liddell is based and I was like 30 feet away on a big Mardi Gras party weekend when a fight broke out. Lets just say it didn’t go well for the guy that tried to hit the Iceman and it was over quick.

If you really want to learn to fight, I’d suggest silat elbow techniques and combat stance or some other CQC school.

Nah, just play Street Fighter 4.

Sonic Boom indeed.

I was walking past a bus stop where there were three Asian guys. As I went past one of them said something about me being white, and then hit me in the face. Left my bottom lip bruised and bleeding.

I ran off, immediately phoned the police, and within 10 minutes I was doing a drive by identity parade (at least three police cars turned up within the first 5 minutes). So much animosity gets thrown at the Police in the UK, with people regularly stating that they wouldn’t care about minor crimes and assaults, but it’s entirely untrue. I was really impressed with how seriously they took the whole event, and the effort they went to in order to try to convict them in the weeks following the assault.

However despite me identifying them in the drive by, and later in a video line up (where the officer said it was the first time he had someone correctly identify the suspect), the CPS chose not to prosecute.

Before then, I regularly went out, and had no issues walking home on my own, and didn’t care if there were groups of people coming in the other direction. I still have no issues walking home at night, but do think “what if”, when I see a group of people coming my way. All because that one guy chose to randomly attack me; that’s what annoys me the most about it.

I am exactly the same way, although when I’ve been jumped they always outnumbered me 5-to-1. I was scary enough to stop the fight from going anywhere, but couldn’t really get any good payback in.

Never had a real fight. Came close a few times. Perhaps the reason is I am a geek in the body of a linebacker. Ok, moving more towards lineman now, but you get the picture.

Some things to consider:
While it is good to learn how to defend yourself, in a street fight the rules are different. Go for balls, larynx (note, this could kill someone), nose, solar plexus, liver/kidneys first, then try to break bones (knees are good). A hit in those regions will send most people down for the count.

Look and act mean. All.The.Time. Really. People will jump you if they think they can win. Don’t play the pu**y. If someone eyeballs you, give it back.
Just give out the vibe you are one bad arse mofo.

And if you cannot evade the fight, make sure the other pays as well.

@princec:
Because people can read body language. And you started sending out all the wrong signals.

In real fights one lucky punch can put you down, and even cause permanent damage. A good friend back in NZ had a fight with his brother that lasted just one punch. It pooped his eyeball.

The best defense is to be somewhere else.
