Hey everyone, I just released my first application to the android marketplace and its available free of charge. The game is called Guuulp, it uses the accelerometer for primary controls, you control a young cephalopod, and eat prey while dodging predators… for any of you who have android devices I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the game… it requires android 2.2 or higher, 2.1 support coming as soon… Thanks…
Personally, i don’t like accelerometer controls…but apart from that, it looks great and plays fine (Nexus S, Android 4.0.3). I like the music and the bubbly sounds. The gameplay itself isn’t my cup of tea, but it’s still great work!!
Any ideas on a control system you would rather play with? would you prefer a virtual joystick to the tilt controls?
Maybe direct touch controls would work…i.e. make the player move to where one touches the screen.
Has anyone else had the chance to try out my game? Id be really interested to hear what you have to say, good or bad, any and all input is good…
Thanks
Put a post in showcase with a screenshot and a link. You may get more feedback then
Tried to test the game, but when launching I can see a rock or something that falls, like a logo, and then after that dissapears there is something like an animation trying to play, and the whole phone dies. The first time it hang with some loud sound looping and after that the phone reset itself, and the second time it just hang no sound, and then reset itself again.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2
for what is worth, really liked the screenshots on the market
Thanks for the info ruben, Im going to look into this and see if I cant fix the problem…
Great work! The accelermeter controls are quite fluid.
