Well all,
Just a quick update here (sorry its a day late, I finally got some sleep:)
GDC was an AMAZING event for Sun and Java technology. Scott McNealy even made an apperance and was thrilled with how far we have come in driving Java technology visibility in the games industry. We were absolutely swamped with attendees and had quite a few major development houses wanting to know MORE about how Java technology may be used in their future products.
Also, the game server prototype was extremely well received. In fact, news of this got around so quickly that I was rushed off to do a live interview on CNBC with regard to it. The games world is listening and I really believe that we are at the “bit-flip” point in time when we will start to see a move towards Java and away from C++. Not immediately, but the movement is happening.
Again, a huge thanks to this community for your support and contribution. I will try and post pictures form the conference over the next few days for you.
Cheers!
