I’m back - had lots of fun. Met Ken while I was out there, forgot to bring a camera.
One very puzzling question - I noticed a laundry list of technologies on display at the Sun Network Conference and even some guys showing of workstations which use OpenGL. Yet there was no gaming initiative presence (not that I expected one - but given the presence of all the other projects I figured why not), and most of the other groups hadn’t really even heard of the project.
Sun needs to market the tech to its own folks 
There were some out there who were curious to see it working on many platforms including Solaris and some who said that if it ran well, they would “consider using it”.
/me dreams about the day he will be a known programmer who travels accross the country to take part in conferences…
