Any video freaks hanging out here ?
I am looking for someone experienced in creating professional looking game trailers. Some work examples should be presentable.
Either for the love of cash or out of pure altruism ;D
I really like trailers and making them, but of course it always depends on the source material.
Simple casual game trailer have more or less only gameplay, cutted in an interesting way.
Here some examples:

If you have a game with dialog and story, you want to have voices and ambiguous quotes and stuff, raise tension over time…
And the problem is footage of course if its not your own game…
For once, if you use 720p FRAPS video, like I do, its Gigabytes of data because its raw rgb video (or almost)
and also, to get the footage, one has to know exactly what to show and how in the game; which is especially critical if the game is not done and you dont want to expose not finished areas/features
Currently I only have a video with recorded game play which is rather boring to watch.
But I need something more polished, profesionell to grab attention. Maybe a trailer could present the main gameplay elements. Right now it seems that people don’t get what it is all about. So, some creative ideas are wanted as well. I don’t have any for that.

record with audio, but disable ingame music (so you can have one continuous song in the trailer which doesnt cut)
find a song for the trailer
cut up your gameplay into interesting segments
adjust audio levels
may use video effects
may insert extra sound effects
may use some fancy fonts; I don’t normally do this… you know, like cuts saying “18644 LEVELS !!! OMFG” things like that
aaand you should be good to go I guess
main thing about a trailer is of course “hype” - you want people to say YEAH, LETS DO THIS.
They dont really have to understand whats going on, it just has to be cool and fun
of course you can do gameplay trailer, really showing whats going on… in that case make use of voice over and explain shit (kinda like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PfkVeI7AiA)
