earlier this summer, oNyx’s fuzetsu was featured on various indie gaming blogs, including JayIsGames. however, august is a very notable month for fuzetsu! check it out…
in the month of august alone, javaunlimited.net received 1,496 link referrals to fuzetsu from Good Experience Games, which describe the game as “elegant, beautiful, and fun.”
also in august javaunlimited.net received 503 fuzetsu hits from perere.org (french site) which describes the game as “original and funny” (rough translation).
fuzetsu, now at 10,294 downloads on javaunlimited.net, has become the 2nd most downloaded game on the site, and appears to be the only competitor to Markus’ Miners4K. Though Miners4K has ~4x times the downloads as fuzetsu, fuzetsu is the only close competitor that still receives hits daily, something not even Miners4K can boast.
it will be interesting to see who becomes the next most downloaded game. will it be an entry from the upcoming 4K contest this winter? will it be another Markus entry that takes even MORE downloads? Markus did beat his own record download count last year, which at that time had both of his earlier 4K games at the top 1 & 2 download spots.
In other trivia, fuzetsu…
- is 1 of 14 games from 4K 2006 that does not use the cliché “4K” in its title.
- is the only 4K game that relies on only 1 source of input: mouse movement
- is the only 4K game with particle-based gameplay
fuzetsu is another game thats giving java some good reviews. if you hadn’t noticed, Great Experience Games and JayIsGames focus primarily on Flash games, but made the exception on fuzetsu! cool stuff oNyx
let’s not forget this very impressive game is a mere 4K in size…
