FreeCol 0.3.0 released

This is the first release of FreeCol in which it is possible to play and win a multiplayer game. FreeCol is an open version of the turn based strategy game Colonization. See the homepage and some screenshots.

Changes since version 0.2.0:

[] Colonies have now been fully implemented, including all buildings except custom house.

] Founding fathers and emigration of units from europe.
[] Fully implemented combat system.
[
] Production of goods and trade with europe.
[] Hills, mountains, forests and special resources have been added to the map.
[
] The pioneers can now construct roads and improve the terrain.
[] Games can now be saved and loaded.
[
] Support for playing music and sound effects.
[*] Background images and several other GUI improvements.

On top of this the code has been redesigned and restructed in order to make the ongoing development easier.

Very nice. Brings back fond memories of Sid Meier’s Colonization.
