Hey, I just released my new game “Valentine’s Massacre” and want to see if any of you are interested in it.

It is an original take on how love could be implemented as an action mechanic.

The basics are very simple. You tap on people to make them fall in love with each other. When this happens these two persons are going to run looking for each other so that they can meet and you are supposed to use this to make them suffer tragic accidents in mass.

However it can get much more complex, fun and difficult.
As you kill more people in a chain (combo) you will increase the Chaos of the situation, making everything much faster and also increasing your chances of getting awesome modifiers that will further increase your chaos and your score.

If this sounds interesting to you then you can check it out here:

In the description you will see a more detailed description of the mechanics and also a list of all the modifiers and what they do.

And if for some reason what I’m showing here sounds or looks confusing to you then I encourage you to try it even more because if you don’t get it you will like it even more when you do, and it will probably take you only 10 seconds to get what is happening when you have the game right in front of you.

This is an interesting take that I haven’t really seen before. Nice.

You could do a lot with the art. For example, Infectanator is a similar game, but the art keeps you pretty entertained even though all you really do is click a couple times per level.

I will also say that I was a bit confused about when I was wining or losing- the score seem to reset for reasons that I couldn’t really discern, which hurt the playability a little bit. Maybe try to make the win/lose scenario a little more obvious?

Like all little games like this, I could see this being pretty fun with a level-up mechanic, where you slowly progress further in the game by becoming more powerful over time.

Thank you for your comment, too bad I didn’t check it before.

Today I just released a new game and I decided to check out the posts for my old games and just saw this.

Even though I was suffering from coding exhaustion after going through all the post-production my games need I decided I would try to do something about the problem you mention.

It was a 5 minute fix but I hope it will help the issue a bit. I changed it so that when you die the game will pause and will show you the score you got as a “last score” part in the score board.

Still, because of the fast nature of the gameplay at times you won’t even see what colored square was the one that caused you to lose but at least your score won’t just be resetted and forgotten without you getting to see it.

I just uploaded the update (1.1) so it should be up and running in a few hours.
