I remember reading a thread which said “No homework threads”.
I think such rules should be stickied on the top of each forum.
Every so often we seem to get a few 1 time posters asking us to do their homework.
It’s really irritating when this occurs, even worse when they make their threads in an inappropriate forum.
Those who post their homework, will NOT read sticky posts anyway.
Besides that, sticky posts are annoying and cause forum-rot.

too many forum stickys get anonying after a while of seeing them, just a button at the top saying rules should be sufficient or a page before u log in, once you’ve seen the rules i doubt its much use seeing them again and again.

Why are you guys typing ‘-1’ on the bottom of your posts?
If you disagree then please offer alternatives to my idea on how to handle those who just come to post homework questions.
The alternative:
Keeping it the way it is.
and -1 / +1 means replying in voting-style, thought that was common knowledge.
I like the idea of a “Rules” button near the “Help” or “Home” button. That way when you tell someone to read the rules they will know right where to find them!
How about a single sticky at the top of each forum. That sticky post would then have categorized links to various posts that contain important information that would make a good sticky. This way you still have links to important information, but only a single sticky in each forum.
seen it in other forums it jjust gets in the way, I can live with a few homework topic tbh.
