If your card supports this extension can you please download the two jars on this page and tell me if it works or not.
rude >:(
I don’t have a card that supports this extension so if you ATI (I think 7000 series and up) users want texture rectangles then someone will have to test these jars and tell me if they work or not. If not then you can wait for the ARB extension and I will use my time elsewhere.
GL_EXT_texture_rectangle is available

Used jogl.dll from latest nighly build. Was it included in one of the jars? If so I did not find it.
winxp, radeon 9500pro.

WinXP, GeForce 440 Go. Demo prints “GL_NV_texture_rectangle is available” to stderr and shows rotating cube with NeHe texture rotating on the sides of another rotating cube.
-
WinXP, GeForce FX 5200. Works exactly as 1, also prints “GL_NV_texture_rectangle is available”.
Yuri
My bad, I forgot ATI doesn’t support rendering to a texture rectangle yet. I will put up a better test app later.
Alright it should work with TRDemo.jar.
So please go to the original link and test out the new jar!
It works. Although it crasehs after 1/10 of a second because I’m still using 1.4.3: “java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java.lang.System.nanoTime()J”
Thanks Tom.
Works for me as well (Radeon 9700 Pro, catalyst 7.95) using JDK 1.5. Mais quelle exageracion: 2000+ fps!
(before somebody starts flaming me: no, I haven’t even tried writing correct French ;))
