Hi! I’ve been on and off at this site for many times and finally decided to register. We have been creating (or trying to create) games with Java for some years, and now we have started to practice with Android.

We have released our first Android game: Flygames. The game is meant for cats, meaning it is very simple for human players (could work for very young children too). It would be nice to get feedback about whether the game works on your device or not, and so on. It has been tested with Galaxy S Plus, Motorola Defy and Padfone, with no problems.

We are planning to create “real” games for Android too so this has been an important step for us on that path. We are only game development hobbyist and all feedback is welcome. :slight_smile:

When you say “we”, of how many people do we speak? Wouldn’t surprise me if you have an artist on board :wink:

Hah, yeah. :smiley: A game for cats. My gf got us two kittens two months ago and they are very interested on the cursor on my computer screen, so I wanted to try if they would like to play on my phone instead (so I could code).

We studied computer science together and have been trying to create games. Teemu does the graphical stuff, I should never touch a pen. Teemu has been busy with his studies so I’ve done most of the coding.

Tried it on my motorola photon, got my cat interested, but he is very lazy, I think if it where on a bigger screen he might get more into it…
Any chance I could get a copy of the apk so I can put it on my kindle fire?

Thank you for testing! Our cats are very playful and usually they “play” at least a bit when I put the game on, but of course they also lose their interest rather quickly when something else gets their attention.

Has anyone put an Android app to Amazon store? Is it possible to do that easily? I didn’t even remember that their Android devices don’t use Google Play.

uploading an app to Amazon is about as complicated as uploading an application to Google Play… However Amazon does do a bit of screening (You shouldn’t have to worry, they look for invasive stuff)… they also take a little longer to go live, it took me like 4 days after I uploaded before my app was visible(its been almost a year since doing it, maybe they have improved?)…

We made a small update: flies hitting the display edges will cause vibrations. Also fixed some small bugs (you can change volume from the main menu now). We also made new website, where you can find the .apk too: http://flygames.louhigames.com/
