Finally A Release JRPG 0.1

Today we release version 0.1 of JRPG, the Jave RPG system based who own its conception to Kevin Glass. This version sports a much more robust and usable ide interface to create game content. The IDE was the main focus of this release. I felt that providing good tools so people would create content is very important. The Game is basically unchanged. However I would like people to test it for a sanity check, some of the main class did get touched in refactoring.

Please everyone give them a try, especially the editor, and post your comments, errors, ect.

just unzip ide.zip and run ide.bat. Please give feedback it is very crucial to our moving forward. The next release will concentrate on the Game; including Audio, enhanced Environments, and a battle system.

unable to connect to remote server. Local test worked fine. Looking forward to where this one goes…

The IDE is dead snazzy! Could we get an installer in the next release?

Haven’t tried the client/webstart/server yet.

HAs anyone had a chance to try the ide, It should run easily, but I need people to try it and give me there comments and specs… Please… :frowning:

Game fails to connect. IDE looks impressive, though didnt have time to do much with it.

For now you can only test with the local server option (check the box) hopefully we will have a server running for version 0.2

Cool game!

It worked fine and i was getting between 60-110fps, but I’m running 800Mhz and 256 RAM, so if it can run on my hunk of junk then it can run on anything!

InstallAnywhere has a free version. Have used it in the past.

I looked on their site but the trial says installers created with it will time out after 3 days :’(
