Worked fine here. It did open an awful lot of little windows.
Maybe you clicked on the part allowing to configure the keyboard.
;D A new game has been added into the Tome: Arcus, a rubik’s cube simulator by Peter Szilagyi. If I have some time, I will add some new games today.
Hi!
There were some problems with the categories, some of them were wrong because of some renaming operations. I’ve just fixed this bug now.
Another First Person Shooter might be added in some months into the FGF players’ portal. I think that some people already know it as this project had been stopped several years ago whereas it was promising. I would like to find some other interesting projects, not only FPS, I do my best.
Source code for all of these games is amazing ;D
Breaking the Tower source code = hours of fun and ideas
Very impressive and useful facebook app ;D
Thank you very much and I thank all authors for their great work; this application would be empty without them. Markus Persson made “Breaking The Tower”, it is a simple game with a very efficient concept, I played hours with it too lol, some colleagues asked me to give them the URL because they wanted to test it too.
Another French programmer has written a FPS in Java, he is still working on it, it is a bit buggy:

I will add it into the FGF players’ portal when it is more stable.
Edit.: Guillaume, please keep it up!!! ;D
I dont like the controls :/.
What mouse game upes the arrow keys?
these may not be supposed to happen yet but:
also there is no aiming. you automaticaly kill.
they dont shoot back as well.
looks good though
I don’t like the controls too and I don’t even succeed to walk. The AI is currently unable to shoot back for the moment. Do you succeed in walking?
hey this seems to be a wolfeistein remake, cool,
NB: I never undestood why we sy a doom’s like and not a wolfeinstein’s like as it was first.
What about Catacomb Abyss?
Kev
yeah I can move, I hav to use the arrow keys though
ha, yes you’re right one year before wolf !
When I modify the source code to increase the resolution in full-screen mode, I get only 3 FPS
Did you try to do it?
Tesseract has been updated. Please give it a try. I thank Nicolas Devere, now it is really fun and I succeed in aiming. There are several new levels, statistics, lots of bug fixes and improvements
Hi!
Xenplat (created by William William Starkovich) has been added into the FGF players’ portal:

I thank the author for it. The portal contains almost 40 games now. If I have enough cash flow, maybe another FPS will be added.
Hi again!
I have helped a programmer to repair his game that he had submitted on the Java game tome. This shoot’em up was working only under Windows (maybe under Mac OS X but I have no Mac and my Mac testers are not available). Now it should work everywhere and then be admissible on the FGF players’ portal ;D

It was only a problem of refresh rate and bit depth.
hi,
I added FGf to my facebook
Can you explain how it works regarding uploading games you provide a screen shot and that is a link to another persons site?
Can i put mine on even though its not quite finished.its playable
Hi!
It is an excellent idea
You have to login on the website / Facebook application. Then, a button allowing to submit a game appears in each page in the bottom. After that, I check in the submitted game respects the terms of use. If so, I accept the game and it appears in the result of search, I update the RSS feed and I make some noise to allow this game to be better known
When you submit a screen shot, the deep link is temporarily used (only a few minutes) and I manually copy your file onto the server for further use to avoid deep linking. However, I avoid to host directly the games except in some rare cases (the author has no server or not a lot of bandwidth).
As I said in private, your game is technically almost enough reliable to be added but there are a lot of mentions of copyrights and it is not open source whereas the terms are clear:
You can submit a new game only if it respects the following conditions:
* it is written in Java (bindings are authorized)
* it is free of charge
* it is cross-platform (it works under the operating systems we mention in the "help" section)
* it is open source (it is under an open licence recognized by the OSI or in the public domain)
* it is reliable enough to be played by a casual user
* it is easily installable (applets, IzPack and Java Webstart-based applications only)
Sometimes we accept games with unclear licenses but we ask the developers to choose an OSI-approved license as soon as possible. We encourage people to use the GPL license because it is a best legal protection especially in France.
As I try to respect the authors, I force nobody to release his source code but it is a condition for the FGF.
Hi!
Can some people test this game under Windows and Mac if possible?
http://142.58.181.212/space.html
It is called Space-Z, it is a MMO RTS in 2D working as an applet, it looks like OGame, it is rather a point-and-click game:
