An old friend of mine (school together, university together, IBM together) has just had his first major game credit, for Evil Genius (Elixir Studios). Looks pretty good, although I haven’t picked up my copy yet (ugh slaving away to meet publishing deadlines >:(). I’ve been promised a free beer if I encourage anyone else to buy a copy, so … you’ve all been encouraged :P.

I have played one-level demo and:
- I liked it, especially main objective (to maniacally laught at good superagent after catching him)
- I have VERY strong feeling of deja vu - Dr No does Dungeon Keeper
I liked Dungeon Keeper (1, haven’t played 2), so I think I would enjoy full version of EG - but when playing demo, I was just doing a map of EG rooms to DK rooms in my head - which was funny, especially because Dead Body Freezer Room mapped to Treasury Room 
It’s pulling a 79% on www.gamerankings.com right now. Not as high as I was hoping for, while not bad, I tend not to get games unless they are above mid 80s.
