Escape the Men's Room

http://meatfighter.com/escape/game.html

wow that really is quite tricky, I got a little ways, I was able tog et the battery, the paper towel and the toilet paper, but I thought the paper towel had the code but it didnt do anything so guess nto :stuck_out_tongue:

So…uh I got stuck at the cone thingys :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: I found a glitch/bug, suddenly one of the cones got stuck on the top bar and I couldn’t click anywhere except for the top bar. It wouldn’t get back onto another cone

A fun game!
Didn’t get very far though

Took an hour to finish it (mostly due to two “issues”). It was nice and on a good difficulty level. Oh, and I approve of your first name

  • The screwdriver is a bit difficult to find, everything else is quite apparent
  • The colors on the doors are not very distinctive, on my laptop the green and yellow looked very much alike, maybe make those two colors scream out a bit more.

Other than that, nicely done (yuck @ the ending)!

Finished

-I agree on the screwdriver thing, I only started looking for it when Mickelukas mentioned it above. Maybe highlight the place where it is somewhat or at least change the color a bit so it stands out from the rest.
-Also, I feel there should be some confirmation when you have the code at the lock right, now you have to leave the puzzle screen to check (I entered the code in the wrong order at first)

Other than that I really liked it

Congratulations Mickelukas and Aeroren! Well done!

The waste containers puzzle? I’ll investigate.

Hmmm I get this now:

1 hour 19 minutes to finish!
I am slow!

Excellent Ending! Good game!

SPOILERS?

criticism:

  1. the screw driver was extremely hard to find, need to make some sort of slight art change that makes it slightly subtlely apparent?

  2. Also agree on the “color slider” lock(squares), make the colors/design more prominent, it was difficult to see some of them.

  3. The urinals and faucets while running, prevent you from leaving the screen. Perhaps allow to leave before their animation is done.(one time the urinal got stuck in 5 loops before I could exit, I didnt click it?)(ignore this!)

  4. add sound or at least ominous music?

  5. remember orientation, if I look down from a particular location, then look up, im at a different screen and not where I just left.

  6. Take note of the wall corners. It appears there is 5 corners in this room.

Assuming we start at urinals as north wall.
(wall corner) urinals north wall, sinks north wall
(wall corner) upside trashcan on east wall?
key door on east wall( wall turn)
stalls on west wall
(wall turn) secret closet on north wall
(wall turn) urinals now on east wall?

Unless there is a 5 cornered wall(which is completely plausible but it doesnt appear to have that sort of angle/layout
or there is a weird L shaped room, that we are just missing 1 corner.

Alternatively, it could have just been overlooked. Art direction? Was there a “overhead” map drawn for your own design to reference appropriate locations?

  1. I love the tumbler lock pick thing
The particular drain and magnet doesn’t appear like it would slide through like that. I dunno I was like no way will that fit, then poof it did?
I had kept thinking that maybe I was supposed to use the screwdriver on this instead of losing it to other thing?

Did you solve the urinals puzzle?

I am looking into it now, I saw nothing apparent there to be a puzzle.

edit: I am an idiot. I thought it was just buggy and malfunctioning urinals! I get it now

Excellent Ending! Good game!

Congrats! Thanks for playing!

Here’s roughly how I imagined the Men’s Room:
`

±-URINALS/PIPES—|----SINKS-------+
| |
| WASTE CONTAINERS
CLOSET |
| EXIT DOOR
| |
±--------------STALLS--------------+
`

My artistry skills are lacking  The scale of many objects changes throughout.

Once you use an object appropriately in the game, that object vanishes to keep things simple. There are no traps that will force you to start over. You can always advance from where ever you are in the game.

I looked back at it with your map in mind, I have no idea what I was thinking earlier. For some reason I was convinced there was 5 corners? It all makes sense now!

Keep up the good work!

Arrrgh! I’m going crazy here, would someone care to tell me what i’m supposed to do? Got three pieces of paper, three objects (shoe lace, battery, tooth), now what?
Thanks in advance.

Hidden object in the closet. Try the hot water button all the sinks. Play with the urinals. Move the waste containers around.

Did all that, but i don’t understand the 3 papers, seem to be missing four letters, and i really don’t understand the “message” of the sink.

Oh, and i managed to get stuck with the containers, so i had to restart the game… Which made me notice the code was random, so it can’t be too much related to the four images…

I feel like an idiot.

EDIT: got it! Still feel like an idiot though…
EDIT2: finished. i found the puzzles very nice, although i couldn’t find what to do with the four images. good game!

Finished?

I may just be stupid but I couldn’t figure out the part about stacking the waste bins, the puzzle on the “closet” and what urinal puzzle are you talking about?

How big the size of applet?
edit: the keypad number please
