Enquiry about how to learn Java Games

I am serious in picking up java technology for using to develop a game, but I dont have idea of what should I learn and start from. Hope that some expertise may give me some guideline and subjects that I should use as a start point to get involve in.

Thanks a lot!!

Next time, please use the “Newless Clubies” board @ http://www.java-gaming.org/cgi-bin/JGNetForums/YaBB.cgi?board=cluebies

Look at the Subject lines of the topics there, and check out the ones that seem like they are for beginners.

Good Luck & Welcome to Java Games Forums

What to learn and where to start depends on what you already know. The Java tutorial available from Sun’s site is a pretty good way to kick start your java learning, once you’ve learned how to use the core java API’s a little using other API’s shouldn’t be too big of an issue. The only way to get anywhere is to download the JDK off sun, and get a book and get started, once you get to the point where you can ask a specific question you’ll probably be able to get better help here.
