You can use MicroEmulator (http://microemulator.sourceforge.net/).
It supports siemens and nokia apis, but you have to use the cvs version. Nokia and Siemens api’s aren’t fully implemented yet. But I’m working on them.
I downloaded microemulator 0.3.2 but its TAR file and no exe in it? There is no instalatin …
is there a jar in it?
Will.
Download Sun’s J2ME Wireless Toolkit… It contains a few emulators which will run mobile Java games.
If the games you have are designed specifically for Nokia’s mobile phones, they may use Nokia’s proprietary extensions. In that case, download Nokia’s Nokia Developer’s Suite for J2ME from Forum Nokia’s Java section. It includes emulators for e.g. Nokia 7210 and Nokia’s forthcoming MIDP 2.0 phones, which can also be installed in Sun’s Wireless Toolkit.
I download JME Wireless Toolkit 2.0 = 10 MB and when I try to install it asks for Java Virtual Machine 2 SDK 1.4 or later which is more than 50 MB !!!
DO I have to install 60 MB of software in order to play game of 50k ?
I can not believe there is no some small .exe (emulator) program which can open .jre file and play games ?
funny that - I have to install 1.5 Gigabyte of data and make a partition for Windows XP, just to open Notepad.exe which is 66.048 bytes…
To run c, which depends on b which depends on a you have to download the whole chain. After all, you also installed a program to enable you to download?
Besides an emulator IS NOT for consumers - it is a program intended for developers, which already have the SDK installed!
my ¤ 0.02

Thats the point … I am not developer.
I was simply asked if someone knows for some SMALL program or emulator for playng JAVA games from Nokia phones. 50 or 60 MB is not small with my 33600 modem Also there is a lot of emulators for all kind of other SEGA … games wihich are not bigger than 1 MB
PS
You didint have to install XP for notepad, there is allways DOS alternative
Well you don’t have to install the Java game, you can always run an old infocom text adventure
Java cell phone games are written in Java. You need a JVM to run Java. There is no “cell phone VM” for a desktop because there is no market. The only market for desktop execution is developers, who need all the JDK ahs to offer.
My only other suggestion is that you buy a Gameboy and a JEMBlazer cartridge.
