Dual monitors on a single VGA port

I’m running Intel HD graphics (I know…) and want to increase my productivity without using the large flatscreen TV I have.

MY MONITORS

*An old monitor (Display 2 in this thread) from the early 2000s (I really like old monitors for some reason) with a VGA Male cord attatched.

If you checked out the link above you might have read that Display 1 has 4 USB ports. I was wondering If I could connect one of those ports to my PC’s USB and connect Display 2 to the VGA port.

EDIT: Would a USB to VGA adapter get the job done as well?

You’re trying to find a work around for something that really should not be.

The best solution to your problem (and sorry if this offends) is pretty much just save up money and buy x2 £70 LCD 1080p monitors and a cheapo GPU that has multiple monitor output ports, such as an AMD 240.

There is no point in trying to make what you have better by adding old and outdated technology.

Alright, thanks. Not offended, and I heard replacing Intel HD graphics was a pain.

You don’t replace it. That is built directly into the CPU, however most PCs come with an expansion slot for a dedicated graphics card.

What system do you have? We can see where to go from there and if there is any way around not spending money (although with old and dated systems, it’s often the best option).

Found it. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-desktop-4gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-black/5859014.p?id=1219165153058&skuId=5859014
