What does the powerup freeze do?

And I still think you should degrade armour upgrades instead of health.

Freeze freezes all the enemies for 10 seconds.

Degrade armour…? How?

ohh… ok. I never realised that. (about freeze)

I think that it is very frustrating that the health degrades over time in the droid you control. Instead I think that armour upgrades should degrade over time or hit. But it should be easier to keep one upgrade than three.

Armour upgrade 1 does never degrade.
Armour upgrade 2 degrade after 10 minutes.
Armour upgrade 3 degrades after 3 minutes.

So if I have 3 upgrades it goes down to 2 after 3 minutes. And after 10 minutes it goes down to 1. The robot can never stay invincible for a long time. But he wont automatically be crippled either.

Amrour upgrade 1 does never degrad.
Armour upgrade 2 degrades after 30 hits. (even if they don’t do any damage)
Armour upgrade 3 degrades after 10 hits. (even if they don’t do any damage)

So if I have 3 upgrades and is hit 10 times, it goes down to two. After another 30 hits, it goes down to 1.

Last alpha’s going up in a mo with the following tweaks:

  1. Mouse speed adjuster now on options screen (Chaz to do the graphics properly). Yay!
  2. Lots of weapon balance tweaks
  3. Number of transfer points remaining now shown in the crosshair in transfer mode as an easy reminder
  4. “TARGET INVULNERABLE” is displayed over targets you cannot damage when you aim at them
  5. You may or may not have noticed it’s harder to shoot your own side now - but that’s been in for a week or 2
  6. Various boss tweaks
  7. Antigrav robots can now traverse holes :smiley:
  8. Many many bug fixes
  9. Some crates contain a surprise!
  10. Armour weakening - if the game detects that you are in a situation where and of your weapons cannot damage any of the remaining robots and you can’t capture them, it weakens the enemy armour so that you can.
  11. If you make it past level 20, the next time you play, you will be allowed to start the game from level 21!

As I say this is the last alpha… Chaz will be back on Monday and we’ll finish the nag and register and title screens off and then… er… skip beta and just release it ASAP!

Does this apply to bosses also?
I died at lvl 40 against a boss that was invulnerable to my bullets…

None of the bosses have armour - however their appendages do (just like ordinary turrets).

I think I need to make the level 40 boss a bit last nasty - four lasers is too much.
