Do you recommend OpenGL SuperBible 3rd edition?

Hi all,

I’m looking for a good OpenGL book for beginners and advanced usage.

Do you recommend OpenGL superbible?

Thanks!

P.S. here is the amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0672326019/ref=wl_it_dp/102-1993248-2711330?_encoding=UTF8&coliid=I25U7SPTTU1YLU&v=glance&colid=1X3AEGYZ3WLKL

Yup, I bought it about a couple months ago and read half of it or so (don’t need the other stuff atm for doing 2d-3d), I’d say its quite good and very useful.

edit: btw, I’m pretty much a beginner and it worked fine for me although I’m sure even advanced users would find it to be at least a good reference… it covers a lot of topics in > 1000 pages.

I’ve had the second edition on my shelf for a few years (next to the blue book and the red book) and I still refer to it from time to time. I’d say it’s a good investment.

Definitely.

OK thanks then I’ll buy it.
