Display Drivers: Need Urgent Help!

Hey everyone,

I installed new nVidia display drivers today and now i can’t run my monitor through my graphics card. When i turn on the computer it goes to the “Video mode not supported” screen, and i have to go through the motherboard display.

Here’s a little info:

Gfx card: Geforce 4 MX440
Drivers installed today: 66.93 winXP/2k

Please help, this is quite urgent!

Cheers,

Hauk

yay, go nvidia!

That is why changing drivers should return your resolution to the default 640x480x8 <_<.

Not sure of the solution, start up in safe mode, and see if you can reset the res. or remove the driver.
Failing that, you should be able to set the res. through regedit (if you know here to look).

Even more crazy, is change your resolution with keyboard shortcuts alone - What OS are you using?

i’m using Win2k, i had this problem before but i forget how i fixed it. It took ages. I’ll give those other ideas a shot when i get home and see what i can come up with.

Cheers,

Hauk

Problem solved everybody, fixed it about 20 minutes ago and was just running a few checks to make sure everything was working.

Thanks for the input!
