DHANY the return of the Korrox
DHANY is a species of small, adorable, puppy like creatures who once lived in harmony. But today their peaceful life is disturbed by the long forgotten Korrox.
Your duty is it, to stop the Korrox with the help of modern technology. To be continued…

The game itself
is about placing force fields to target unreachable enemies with a cannon. This cannon can be upgraded during the entire game to accomplish your mission.

(In this version the graphics are just placeholders, we haven’t managed to create the ui-stuff that we need for the storyline)
Development
About 6 month ago we started developing DHANY. After some time of writing a static game we decided to design everything as universal and dynamic as possible. This led us to a more engine like design which is called Mystery. Mystery consists of a map-editor and a Android / Desktop application (built on libGDX).
About us:
Our team consist of two programmers (Phibedy and twinflyer). We started learning Java about two years ago and worked most of the time together. Mystery is our biggest and most complex project ever because it’s the first time we used OpenGL.

Editor
Nearly everything can be modified in the editor, it’s quite handy to use. You can create new maps and even adjust the levels / games logic from here (It’s even possible to edit the editor within the editor during runtime… [bit confusing oO - but quite useful]). At the moment the logic-creation is bound to a set of precoded ‘Actions / Events’ but it will be possible to create completely new Actions from within the editor in the future (see Visual Scripting).

(the Curves are Nurbs, which are used for the path of the camera/speed/zoom/(rotation later on))
Upcoming Features:
-An applet for easier testing
-Visual Scripting:

(you just put methods together + if you need parameters which aren’t returend by the method before, you can add constants)
-…
Notes:
A lot of the stuff we want to add isn’t accessible at the moment, like items which you can collect etc.
In addition you won’t have so many force-fields / shots in every level + shots will be removed if they collided to often.
The level-cleared screen just shows something, because items aren’t implemented in the way we want them up to now.
We publish it now to get some feedback, it would be great if you could have a look at it.
Controlles:
There will be a tutorial which explains the controlls, but that’s a little bit buggy, that’s why it isn’t included at the moment
- If you click on a level-placeholder the level will load
- select the cannon ( just tap on it), the orange line shows the path that your bullet will follow until the first collision
- you can select the force-weapon if you tap on the “force-icon” on the left side (just click the shoot-button for placing the force)
- if you long-press the force- you can move it.
- you can zoom in/out
As you can see, our project is running quite well, but we have some problems creating fancy grahics/musics. That’s why we are looking for artist/musicians who have some time to spend.
hope you enjoy it
edit: sry posted it the first time with the wrong profile, programming for to long, bedtime :persecutioncomplex:
