Developer Cost for Game in Java 2D

Hi All,

I would like to get a new Java 2D game to developed for the following categories

  1. Bike/Car Games
  2. Cricket
  3. Ethinic Games

Can someone provide me a quote for development of such games?

No. You need far more detail before it’s possible to estimate how much work is involved.

Wow, entrepreneur much?

Below is a rough estimate (including the constant cost of changing requirements seeing that you’ve given us none to begin with)

  1. Bike/Car Games ~$100 million US Dollars (takes quite a lot of effort to replicate GT5 using java2d)
  2. Cricket ~$10 billion US Dollars (I hate cricket so I’m gonna charge you big time to code it)
  3. Ethnic Games ~$100 billion US Dollars (requirements nightmare -> what exactly “is” an ethnic game?)

It’s not a very sensible question - somewhere between $zero and $infinity. How much can you afford?

i am running an online shopping store. To add some value addition on the site i am looking to buy some interesting games. I do not want to spend my effort in development. Just want to buy games which are readily available

Why not look through the showcase for some games that already exist and then just see if you can buy rights to them? I’m sure 95% of the devs here would be excited for the possibility of making a few bucks on their games.
