I’m in! \o/
I’m gonna miss this week, had been participating in a debugging competition.
Welp, it looks like we had to ban somebody from the IRC Channel.
This is why you should never abuse bots and make ‘Yo Mamma’ jokes, kids.
I’m in. Cant wait 8)
For those of you who have not been on the IRC, get on it. Its exploding.
The debate is over the direction of this game jam, and the rules to be associated with it.
It is pretty much the consensus however that the Jam should be incremental, or if it is somthing has to change because some feel that 4 or more hours ever week quickly becomes more time than they are willing to spend on a weekly jam.
Another issue is hosting, would it be ok to host it on wij.kemoy.net?
So this is my proposal, if you dont like it give me a medal. If you like it, give it a +1.
Rules :
Every weekend on saturday (EasternStandardTime, and CentralTime) voting will begin to decide some of the rules of that weeks jam.
The rules that vary week to week may include time and theme, if it is decided there should be one.
Everyone starts at the same time once the voting is finished, and everyone must submit there game at the same time.
You can submit before the time is up.
I feel that these rules will be flexible enough to accommodate the majority.
For hosting I see no problem using Kemoy, but a domain is relativly cheap to get, and I would like to see the competition stay near JGO at least a little. Its where it originated.
I would say that the game shouldn’t be bound to language or product, if someone can build a really cool application that isnt a game in the allotted amount of time, I see no problem with it.
Dont miss the suggestion thread for this jams future on WIJ forum:
