Commander - Europe At War

This game is written in pure Java, using Swing. I am the sole programmer for the project and this is a co-development between Firepower Entertainment and Slitherine Co Ltd.

Ok, you’re not going to win on graphics, but I’ve been playing a lot of Heroes of Might and Magic recently and if proves you don’t need good graphics to make a turn based strategy fun. In fact the highest rated titles in the series were the ones with the basic 2D graphics :). So, seeing as a lot of the reviews for the other games on that site leave something to be desired, even though they look pretty good, I’d like to see the Java game come out as a lot more fun than the graphically focused ones. Make sure there’s plenty of depth, challenge, variety, and all those good strategic elements. :slight_smile:

Good luck, would like to see a demo whenever you can get it. Honest, anonymous feedback is usually a good thing.

Edit: So I don’t sound negative, I do like the interface. It looks very clean and professional. Semirandomized tile appearance is a nice touch.

Well, if i could produce graphics similar to the ones used in this game I would be a happy chappy! I am very impressed considering that you created the game by yourself!
