Hi Folks
College Saga is a university project made by 5 students including me.
We worked 8 months on it unsing libgdx of course. Its not completly done jet but we aiming for a showcase event next week.
The game will be available on android, mac/pc and MAYBE on IOS if we get
access to the education account of our faculty.
The game is some kind of university/study simulation where you gain creditpoints through minigames.
If you got enough you are able to start your final exame(game) and finish your diploma.
The player can explore a university campus based on our local facility.
PC/mac version will be available soon. We still working on a small video trailer.
More optimized version will follow. Have fun exploring. Your feedback is welcome. :slight_smile:

They actually replicated the basic layout of our university in this game ^^

Downloaded the game on Android.

In the mini-games, I feel like there should be an option to retry, instead of going back to the university area and tapping the icon again.

I haven’t gotten far, but I like it so far.

I thought ‘Saga’ was a patented word by the infamous software house starting with ‘Z’.

Saga just means series …jesus this is getting as bad as the whole ‘Fallout’ fiasco a few days back

well you cannot “patent” a word you can try to trademark it, which is hard with one single word found in the dictionary, but not completely unheard of
of course it doesnt matter too much is a case like this since no one would care anyway, and even if it could be renamed, although just because of the name saga - that would be appalling

actually the whole name is kinda taken, there is this final fantasy spoof on youtube by Mark Leung which is love called “College Saga”, but doesnt matter of course.
You CAN have games, books, movies with the same title… its only when both are kinda of the same time with the same popularity that a conflict comes up at all.

You cannot patent the word sage , you can copyright the name “College saga” however.
