Collabnet new look complaints

The new look collabnet pages (new meaning a month or so ago) don’t expand all the folders in the file sharing area as before. You have to click on the “>” arrow. I think this is confusing as it’s not clear what the “>” arrow does to a new user.

Personally I think clicking on a folder should both show it’s contents and expand it.

eg:

https://jogl.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=1045

shows

That gives one the impression there are no 2004 builds - when in fact they are if you click on the arrow.

If the folder expanded when you click on it this would be fixed.

any UI experts out there care to comment? I really don’t find it intuitive at all.

I second this suggestions. We have already seen several posts in the forms from people who can’t find the files they want to download. It even took me awhile to figure it out and I had to read someone’s post twice to understand what they were talking about.

Getting rid of the arrows seems like the best way to fix the problem.

I agree this is really confusing and should be changed. I think in theory filing an Issue against java.net is a good way to get the CollabNet folks’ attention. Try opening an Issue under

https://java-net.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectIssues

done, thanks.
