The Game Group seeks an Sr. Marketing Manager for the Game Developers Conference, Hollywood & Games Summit, GDC Austin, and other game developer events. This role will be accountable for meeting attedance targets and budgeted attendee revenue goals of more than $6 million by creating/executing marketing plans for the assigned events. The Sr. Marketing Manager also manages contributions from internal and external marketing service providers. The Sr. Marketing Manager reports to the Product Manager for each assigned event, and has a dotted-line relationship with the Game Group Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Create and continually optimize marketing execution plan to meet event attendance and sponsorship objectives. Use dynamic, realtime and cost-effective communications tactics including web/online, PR, community management, one-to-many as well as one-to-one list management, and print.
Establish and update event positioning, value proposition and core messaging to all constituencies, with special attention to the educational, networking and information needs of the game-creation community
Direct internal and external marketing contributors to task completion against a detailed schedule and pre-established expense budget.
Qualifications:

5-8 years of experience in marketing program management
Demonstrated experience with web-based one-to-one marketing tools
Familiarity with mechanics of consumer loyalty programs
Experience with positioning, marketing strategy, and selecting optimal tactics to execute upon strategy
Comprehensive expense budget management
Significant project-management expertise
Strong attention to detail
Sophisticated understanding of videogame industry
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Expertise with XP Office, design and publishing applications
