Clarence's Paradise

Hey everyone, I just discovered this forum. I’ve been programming in java for only a short while and I’m really not very good at it. But since I’m using java to make games this seems like a good place to help me improve. Anyway I figured I’d share my first game that I made in java. It’s a short puzzle where you explore an area and figure out how to activate a machine. To play you enter cardinal directions into a parser to move around and numbers which let you examine things. If anyone wants to give it a shot I’d love to hear whatever feedback anyone has to offer.

Thanks!

Cool stuff, man!

This forum is a great place to learn. The pros here are extremely knowledgeable about not only Java and game libraries, but most of them know quite a lot about memory management, the OpenGL graphics pipeline, resources that will help you get started or point you in the right direction, and many, many more topics.

Stick with it!

Cheers,

Hey thanks a lot haha, it took me a while. That’s good to hear QuicK, most of my research thus far has come from sifting through google.
