Hi all

I’m working on this chess program,
is not all that, it just for two players it doesn’t have vs machine option at the moment. Im working on just getting this part right then if I have time I’ll come up with some sort of ai for it.
when i started out I thought it was gone be simple, but the coding has cramped up.
Anyway im telling you this because I need your feedback, have a look at it and see what you think all comment are welcomed
Is not finished yet, this is my lets say v1.0 beta release ::slight_smile:
It dose not have double buffering so you’ll see some (cough major) flickering when the images are created at first, so stick with it for a bit.

Some of the sound is not playing in the jar format, I don’t know why…i guess i depents on the jvm on your pc, like when you press “about this game” button and move pones you should here a sound.

Anyway I’ll keep working on it and update you guys as I go.

i took up your web start challenge but run a brick wall, webstart troughs:
Corrupted JAR file at http:// bla bla bla image

It does that even for my sound files

Please submit the complete jnlp file.

I am not sure if that works:

-> it’s a .gif, not a jar file!

=> pack all the resources into a jar file if possible.

Songs work fine , and I loved them :smiley: really laughed when I heard them :stuck_out_tongue:

Also when u kill an enemy’s unit or only pawn(?) not sure it made a nice BANG sound :slight_smile:

Somewhere along the game though … it bugged and I am not sure why and it was constantly the black side’s turn , so it became kind of one sided :smiley:
