i i own the account that is called “IndieDeveloper”

i would like to change my name from VirtueeL to IndieDeveloper is it possible???

You should really PM Riven about this type of thing, not make a thread about it.

Possible: yes.
Going to happen: no.

People know you by your name. Just like IRL, changing ones name creates a lot of confusion. I made some exceptions, but in general you’re stuck with whatever name you chose when you registered.

This may be a real challenge, and I don’t think anyone ever in the history of the internet has done this.

… But have you considered just registering a new account?

if i did i need to…

create new posts for my 2 Games and that will be kinda spamming? wont it
and ppl will be confussed on why there is 2 ppl that has the same posts

i need to re earn my rank

but if you could transfear all data from this account over to IndieDeveloper that would be great =D

Cas has been on this forum for years, yet his username is still ‘princec’. Nobody cared. Nobody cares. Nobody ever will care.

Don’t go all out to change your name on the forum.
If you really care that much, just add a signature to your posts with what you’d prefer to be called. I do it all the time.

My personal opinion though is the name “IndieDeveloper” is a bit silly, you should change your YouTube account. :wink:

I think you can just change your youtube name whenver you want. (At least thats what I remember)

Hey, just one thing that right came to my mind as I read this post:

I’ve been on this forum for about a week or so, to see what’s going on here and what nice people tell about their stories about what they do, how they came to learn things and where their hearts with their projects lie. Not, what their names are. :wink:

The famous German poet Geothe once said:
“Namen sind nur Schall und Rauch”, which roughly translates to:
“Names are nothing but acoustic noise and smoke.”

So, as kpars said, really, no one cares about one’s name.

I know, it’s tempting at times to have some auxiliary property or asset to you that might supposedly be fancy, but all that cares is who you are, not what you own or what your name is.

That may sound schoolmarmish, but I learnt this as a lesson for life actually. hahaha! :wink:

Who cares for that? My channel URL is https://youtube.com/user/sriharshat2p but the name is Sri Harsha Chilakapati. Nobody has time to check your identity in the real world, they just really see the content.
