Time for me to publish some of the stuff I am working on, besides LWJGL.
I work for a company called Certus (subsidiary of betware.com). We develop amongst other things Multiplayer Casual Games.

We just published one of our latest games: Blockwar. The games is basically a multiplayer (2-5) tetris variant. Apart from placing pieces (and staying alive because of misplaced pieces!) players gain specials from removing multiple lines. These specials can be thrown on your self or others. The game is available in both english and german.

So, you play your own tetris game each, but get to use the specials on your opponents?

It reads and looks a bit like twintris on the amiga, where I lost a lot of money in silly drunken “double or nothing” games :slight_smile:

yeah, basically. Not having played tetrinet I can’t say how the features compare… I would expect tetrinet to be more advanced and less gloss

No no, they throw specials on me too - I actually lost that game!

I didn’t actually make that specific game! It is made by a coworker of mine. I’ll do a follow up when I post one of my games :slight_smile:
